Delete Account & Data
You have the right to delete your Korus account and all associated data at any time. This page explains exactly how to do it — from within the app or by contacting the developer.
This page serves as the official account and data deletion request page for Korus, as required by Google Play's data deletion policy. It is maintained by Ronsell John A. Fortu, the sole developer of Korus.
What data is deleted when you delete your account?
Deleting your account removes all personally identifiable information and user-generated content tied to your Google account. The following data is permanently erased from our servers:
- Your Korus account and Google sign-in association
- All songs and lyrics you created in My Lyrics
- All collections and favorites
- All uploaded attachments — images, PDFs, and links
- Your app preferences and settings
- Any songs in your Trash at the time of deletion
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered under any circumstances.
Data deleted in-app is removed immediately. Email-based deletion requests are processed within 7 business days.
How to Delete Your Account In-App
The fastest way to delete your account is directly from the Korus app. Follow these steps:
Open the More Menu
Launch the Korus app and tap the "More" tab (the menu icon on the far right of the bottom navigation bar).
Go to Account Settings
Inside the More menu, locate and tap the "Account" option. This opens your account settings page where you can manage your profile and data.
Tap "Delete Account"
Scroll to the bottom of the Account settings page. Tap the "Delete Account" button. This action is only available to the currently signed-in user.
Read the Warning
A warning dialog will appear listing all data that will be permanently removed. Read this carefully — deletion cannot be undone once confirmed.
Confirm Deletion
Tap "Confirm Delete" to proceed. Your account and all associated data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers immediately.
Can't Access the App? Request Deletion by Email
If you are unable to access the in-app deletion option — for example, if you lost access to your Google account or can no longer sign in — you may submit a deletion request directly to the developer by email. You can also use this method to request removal of only specific data without deleting your entire account.
When emailing, please include:
- The Google email address associated with your Korus account
- Whether you want full account deletion or removal of specific data
- If specific data removal — describe what you would like removed
