Terms & Conditions

By accessing or using Korus ("the Service", "the App"), operated by Ronsell ("We", "Us"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These Terms apply to all users of the Service.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Korus is a mobile application for Android that enables users to:

• Create, store, and manage personal worship song lyrics.
• Organize songs into themed collections.
• Attach images, PDF documents, and web links to individual songs.
• Access a built-in library of Adventist hymns (Philippine 2016 and International editions).
• Browse, search, favorite, and add hymns to personal collections.
• Sync personal content across devices via a cloud account.
• Mark songs and hymns as favorites for quick access.
• Use the app offline — content is available without an internet connection after initial sync.
• View hymnal sheet music, which is downloaded separately from our cloud storage when requested and cached locally on your device for offline use. It is not bundled with the initial app download.
• Create and join Group Collections — shared collections where members can view a curated song list via a unique invite code.

The Service is available in a free tier and a paid subscription tier. Core features are available for free. Certain usage limits vary by subscription plan as described in Section 6.

Access to Korus requires authentication via Google OAuth. There is no guest mode. By signing in, you:

• Authorize Korus to receive your email address, full name, and profile picture URL from Google.
• Agree that your user-generated content will be synced and stored on our cloud infrastructure (Supabase).
• Are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.

You may sign out at any time. Upon sign-out, all local user data is cleared from your device. Your cloud data is retained and restored upon next sign-in.

You retain ownership of all content you create within Korus, including lyrics, collections, notes, and attachments. By using the Service, you grant Us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you upload, including:

• Ensuring you have the right to store and use the content.
• Ensuring your content does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.
• Not uploading content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or violates others' privacy.

Group Collections and Shared Content: When you add songs to a Group Collection you own, or join a Group Collection owned by another user, you acknowledge that the song content — including titles, artist names, and lyrics — will be visible to all current members of that group. You should not add content to a Group Collection that you do not wish to share with its members. Members who join your group will be able to see all songs you have added to it, including any images, PDF files, and links attached to those songs. You are responsible for the appropriateness of content you share via Group Collections.

Korus is a personal content management tool. You may use it to store lyrics for worship and devotional purposes. However:

• Many song lyrics are protected by copyright. Storing copyrighted lyrics without authorization from the rights holder may infringe copyright law.
• We do not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for copyrighted content entered by users.
• It is Your responsibility to ensure that any lyrics, PDFs, or images you upload comply with applicable copyright laws in your jurisdiction.
• Pre-installed hymns and related materials are provided for reference, worship, and personal use only. Such content may be subject to copyright by their respective owners. Korus does not claim ownership of third-party hymn content and does not guarantee that all materials are free from copyright restrictions.

The Korus name, logo, and application code are the intellectual property of the developer and may not be reproduced without permission.

We reserve the right to remove or restrict access to any content that is reported to infringe copyright or violate applicable laws, at our sole discretion.

Korus offers the following subscription tiers:

The Free plan is available to all users at no cost. The Plus plan is a paid monthly subscription. The Pro plan is not yet available. Prices are shown in Philippine Peso (PHP) and may vary by region as determined by Google Play.

The Service enforces the following limits on attachments and text fields uniformly across all plans:

We may remove or restrict content at our discretion if it violates these Terms, exceeds these limits, or violates applicable laws.

Billing: Paid subscription plans are billed monthly through Google Play. All payment processing is handled exclusively by Google Play. We do not collect, store, or process payment card details or financial information.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account. Access to paid features continues until the end of your current billing period.

Restoration: If you reinstall the app or switch devices, you may restore your subscription using the "Restore Purchases" option within the app.

Refunds: Refund requests for subscription purchases are subject to Google Play's refund policies.

Plan changes: We reserve the right to adjust subscription pricing or plan features at any time. You will be notified of any material changes to your active subscription.

Subscription data: Subscription status and plan information are managed by RevenueCat as our billing middleware and validated against Google Play. See Section 10 (Third-Party Services).

Korus offers an optional donation feature for users who wish to voluntarily support the developer. Donations are entirely optional and not required to use any feature of the app.

• Donating does not unlock any features, premium access, subscription plan, or other benefits.
• Donations are not a form of in-app purchase and are not processed through Google Play.
• Donations are made by the user directly via their own banking application or mobile wallet by scanning a QR code displayed within the app. These transactions occur entirely outside of Korus.
• The app does not process, receive, confirm, track, or refund any donation. No receipt or acknowledgment is provided through the app.
• Transfer fees charged by the user's banking provider are the sole responsibility of the user.
• We receive no data or notification from any donation transaction.

Group Collections allow one user (the owner) to share a collection of songs with other users (members) via a unique invite code. By using Group Collections, you agree to the following:

For owners:

• You are responsible for the content you add to a Group Collection, as it will be visible to all members.
• Songs added to a Group Collection — including their title, artist name, lyrics, and any attached images, PDF files, and links — are visible to all current members.
• You may remove members from your group at any time.
• You may share your invite code with anyone you choose. You are responsible for who you share it with.

For members:

• Joining a Group Collection grants read-only access. You cannot add, edit, or delete songs in a group you have joined.
• Your display name and membership role are visible to the group owner and other members.
• You may leave a Group Collection at any time from within the app.
• If you are removed by the owner, the collection will be removed from your app. You may only rejoin if the owner provides you with an invite code again.

Content warning: Before joining or creating a Group Collection, understand that song content is shared with all members. Do not add personal, sensitive, or private content to a Group Collection.

Korus relies on the following third-party services to function:

• Supabase — cloud database, authentication, and file storage. Your use of Korus is subject to Supabase's Terms of Service.
• Google OAuth — authentication. Your use is subject to Google's Terms of Service.
• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics (Google LLC) — usage analytics and crash reporting. Your use is subject to Google's Terms of Service.
• RevenueCat — subscription management and billing middleware. Your use is subject to RevenueCat's Terms of Service.
• Google Play (Google LLC) — payment processing for paid subscription plans. Your use is subject to Google's Terms of Service.

We are not responsible for the practices or content of these third-party services.

You agree not to use Korus to:

• Upload, store, or distribute illegal content.
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the application.
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without written permission.
• Abuse the storage or sync infrastructure in ways that degrade service for other users.
• Upload or distribute copyrighted material without proper rights or authorization.
• Attempt to enumerate, brute-force, or systematically guess Group Collection invite codes.
• Share inappropriate, harmful, or illegal content through Group Collections.

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• Data will never be lost or corrupted.
• The Service will meet your specific requirements.

We strongly recommend keeping backup copies of important content.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruptions arising from:

• Your use or inability to use the Service.
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your content.
• Any third-party conduct or content related to the Service.
• Any donation transaction made outside of the app.
• Content visible to Group Collection members as a result of the owner's use of the feature.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service — or any part of it — at any time and without prior notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer and any affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your user-generated content, your use of the Group Collection feature, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Korus at any time, without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to other users or the Service.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your local device data may be cleared, but your cloud data is retained per the Privacy Policy unless you request deletion.

We may remove specific content or restrict access to certain features without fully terminating your account if necessary to enforce these Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines.
